# How to track hours worked at a location

If you want to automatically track the hours worked at a specific location, you can use a **Time** rule linked to an hours account.

### 1. Create the hours account

Before creating the rule, you need an **Hours** account where the time will be accumulated.

To create one, go to **Rules > Accounts** and create a new account. For example:

- Hours worked in Barcelona

### 2. Create the rule

Go to **Rules** and click the blue **New rule** button.

Select the **Time** type and configure the following fields:

- **Name:** Hours worked in Barcelona
- **Time type:** Work
- **Destination account:** Hours worked in Barcelona (the account created previously)

### 3. Configure the location condition

In the conditions section, add a condition under "Apply only at the following location" and select the location you want to track, such as **Barcelona**.

This ensures that the rule only counts hours from shifts assigned to that location.

### 4. Save the rule

Save the changes and activate the rule.

From then on, all work hours recorded at the selected location will automatically accumulate in the specified hours account, allowing you to track hours worked separately for each site, store, or location.
