# Preparations: everything you need to know

They are the recipes used in more than one recipe costing.

***For example,*** *mayonnaise is used in the tartare dish, in the Russian salad, and as a dipping sauce for chicken fingers.*

Yes, you can add preparations inside preparations.

***For example,*** *you can create the "truffle oil" preparation and use it in the "truffle and mushroom sauce".*
