# Should trips between workplaces be recorded as time entries?

A common question about the **working time tracking law in Spain** 👇

Since *Royal Decree-Law 8/2019* made daily working time recording mandatory, many companies ask:

🔹 Do trips count as working time?
🔹 What happens if the team works at several sites or visits clients?

👉 **The answer depends**:

📌 **Yes, they count as working time** if the trip takes place **during the working day**, between tasks or workplaces.

📌 **No, they do not count** if the trip is from home to the first destination (or from the last one back home), unless the role does not have a fixed workplace (such as some technicians or sales reps).
