# Step-by-step guide to planning shifts manually

- Log in to your haddock HR and create shift plans manually, with all the details and specific conditions of your employees.
- Click on Planning in the left-hand menu on your haddock HR home screen.

*From here, you have several ways to plan shifts manually. Choose the one that is easiest for you:

## 1. Drag and drop work shifts and absences / vacations

From the top bar on the left, drag and drop the work shifts and/or absences - vacations you want to place in the scheduler and shift planner. It does not get easier than that.

## 2. Add shifts

In this case, you only need to click the purple + inside the planner itself. From there, keep filling in the data the system requires and whatever else you want to add.

****IMPORTANT: ***To create a manual schedule, you must already have the employees, groups, and work shifts created in haddock HR.
