# Swap shifts from group planning

When you want to **swap shifts between 2 employees** assigned to the same group, you can do it by opening the group plan and following these steps.

## 1. Open the group plan where the 2 employees are

Access planning from the main menu:

Open the period for the swap:

## 2. Right-click the first shift you want to swap

Right-click the shift of the employee whose shifts you want to swap, and then **click "Swap shift"** in the context menu that appears:

Next, **choose the worker you want to swap the shift with** and specify whether you want to do it for just 1 day or several.

**Important 🎯**: if either employee has any planned absence or vacation through an **approved request**, the swap cannot be performed.
