How to connect or reconnect a bank account
Connect a bank account in Banks so haddock can import movements for reconciliation and treasury views.
Who can connect a bank
Only the restaurant owner or an administrator with reconciliation page access can open Banks and manage connections.
Connect an account
- Open Banks in the side menu.
- Go to Settings.
- In Bank connection, click Add new bank account.
- Search for your institution and click Connect.
- Complete the read-only authorization with your bank.
- Return to haddock. The connection stays in progress until the first sync finishes.
The connection is read-only. haddock imports recent transactions, balances, and account metadata for reconciliation.
Reconnect or fix a connection
If a bank stops syncing or shows an error in Settings:
- Open Banks → Settings.
- Find the affected account or requisition.
- Follow Reconnect or repeat the connection flow for that institution.
- Wait for the sync banner to clear, then check Transactions.
Remove a connection from the same card when you no longer want that account in haddock.
Use a bank already connected in the group
If the same bank is already connected for another restaurant in your group, haddock can show Bank accounts available in your group. Choose Link to attach those accounts to the current restaurant without authorizing again.
After connecting
- Account details appear under Banks → Settings.
- Movements appear under Banks → Transactions.
- With Fina bank reconciliation enabled, haddock can suggest matches between movements and invoices.
See Manual linking in bank reconciliation and How to connect your bank to use Fina for bank reconciliation.
