How to connect your bank to use Fina for bank reconciliation

To let Fina suggest bank reconciliations, you need two things:

  • enable Analyze and suggest bank reconciliations
  • connect at least one account in Banks

Before you start

  • Only the restaurant owner or an administrator can connect a bank account.
  • The connection is read-only. haddock checks your last 90 days of transactions, balances, and account data to work on bank reconciliation.
  • The initial sync can take between 5 and 10 minutes.

Step 1. Enable the Fina option

  1. Go to Fina.
  2. Open the Banks tab within Fina settings.
  3. Enable Analyze and suggest bank reconciliations.

If you are still activating Fina for the first time, this option also appears in step 5. Bank reconciliation of the wizard.

Step 2. Connect the bank account

  1. Go to the Banks module in the side menu.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. In the Bank connection card, click Add new bank account.
  4. Search for your institution in Search bank and click Connect.
  5. Complete the authorization with your bank.
  6. Return to haddock. The connection will remain in progress and the account details will appear shortly.

If your bank is already connected in another location in the group

If you have already connected that bank in another restaurant in the same group, you do not need to repeat the connection. In the flow, you will see the Bank accounts available in your group section: just click Link to associate those accounts with the current location.

What you will see next

  • The connected account will appear in Banks > Settings.
  • The synchronized transactions will appear in Banks > Transactions.
  • Fina will be able to analyze your invoices and bank movements to suggest reconciliations.

If you do not see the option

  • Check that your user is an owner or administrator.
  • If you do not see the Banks tab, the feature may not yet be enabled for your restaurant.
  • If you just authorized the bank and still do not see the account, wait a few minutes and check the sync again.
