Users and roles FAQ
I would like the whole team to help manage the restaurant. Can I give them access?
Yes, haddock is designed so that the whole team can take part in improving business management. Invite the chef, waiter, manager... all the profiles that can help increase the restaurant's efficiency.
How does multi-role work? What can each role do?
There are preset roles you can customize for each restaurant:
Owner: The account that owns the restaurant subscription and group.
Admin: Full access to modules and settings. Cannot manage the haddock subscription unless you grant that permission.
Documents manager: Upload, view, and edit documents and incidents. Recommended for back-office staff who digitize paperwork.
Chef and cooking: Access to Recipes, products, suppliers, documents, and Ordering for kitchen workflows.
Management view: Read-focused access to the dashboard and documents, with sales upload where enabled. Recommended for external accountants or area managers.
Roles are customizable: you can change module access for a role, and that change applies to every user with that role.
Can users be deleted or edited?
Yes, you can delete or edit a user's role from User Settings > My restaurants > [Your restaurant]. Once in the team section, select the member and click the 3 dots in the top right to see the edit or delete options.
How can I add a new user and customize the role?
Click the restaurant icon > Add user. Add the email of the user you want to invite and select which role you want to give them. Click the pencil icon (Edit) next to the role to select which permissions you want to give them. They will be sent an invitation by email so they can access haddock.
What if the invitation does not arrive by email?
They should check that the email is not in the Spam or Junk folder. If that is not the case, you can access the invited user from the team list and click the option to resend the invitation.
