Why are some of my products at 0?

πŸ“ Why do I see products with price or quantity at 0?

πŸ“ But then, if there are no purchases for that product, why does it appear?

In haddock you can see the full list of products from your invoices, delivery notes, and receipts.

πŸ’‘ Remember that you will only see those categorized as Raw materials, Drinks, Cleaning, Consumables, and Uncategorized.

πŸ‘€ Why do I see products with price or quantity at 0?

It is possible that in the product list you will find some products with quantity and price 0.

πŸ“This is due to the specific configuration for each supplier and how long it has been since you last bought it.

Specific configuration for each supplier

Prices and quantities are only reflected based on the document you choose, whether invoice prices or delivery note prices, in order to avoid duplicate data.

Practical example

  • I want to learn more about the product "Avocado Oil".
  • In the product list I see it with a price of 0€.
  • I open the product and see that I only have this product in my delivery notes, but not in any invoice. If I click the dropdown and change the view to invoices, I will see that I do not have any invoice where I bought this product.
  • When I upload an invoice to haddock that includes a purchase of "Avocado Oil", this information will be updated and I will be able to see this product with the last purchase price and quantity.

If in this case you prefer to see invoice prices, just follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Suppliers page.

  1. Select the relevant supplier whose product display you want to change.

  1. Go to the supplier configuration page and click the dropdown "Which documents do you want to use to calculate prices?"*

  1. Choose the document type that fits your needs.

Old product

The reference price of a product is generated by default by calculating the weighted average of the last 12 months.

You can find this calculation by clicking a product, going to Settings, and within Prices you will see how this reference price was calculated.

πŸ”‘ If it is an old product that has not been bought again, it will appear without a reference price because the weighted average cannot be calculated.

We recommend uploading documents that include this product so the calculation can be made or, if you do not have any new purchases of it but still want to see a reference price, select the Last purchase price option.

πŸ‘€ But then, if there are no purchases for that product, why does it appear?

We show this product so that you can use it in your recipes and orders.
