Advanced product workflows

Product formats rollout

Product formats are rolling out gradually. Some restaurants still use the legacy Purchases configuration on each product, while others already have the Formats tab and pending-purchase assignment tools. If you do not see formats yet, contact haddock to request access.

Assign pending purchase lines

When digitized lines are not linked to a product, open Products and follow the pending-purchase assignment flow. A guided tour explains the purchase line header, product selector, formats section, and footer actions. Use the help icon in the header to relaunch the tour.

Group products between restaurants

In a restaurant that belongs to a group, choose Add product > Group products, select products from other locations, and assign them. You need permission to edit products in the target restaurant. Prices stay local until the first purchase is uploaded.

Undo a product merge

If a purchase line was merged into the wrong product, open the product and use Undo merge from the line actions. haddock creates a separate product again with that purchase history.

Bookmarks vs inventory pins

Bookmarks in Products are a personal filter to find key products quickly in the catalog. Pins in theoretical inventory keep selected products at the top of an inventory view. They do not share the same list.

Recipe costing extras

In Recipes, Modifiers let you adjust ingredients for POS modifier sales when calculating cost of goods sold. Menus and combo dishes can be costed by linking POS items and building the recipe structure for each component.
