Convert purchase format for products to a base unit (Kg, L or Unit)

Why?

📦 Converting purchase formats (boxes, bottles, etc.) to a base unit of measure (kilograms, liters, etc.) is essential.

🚚 When working with different suppliers and products, it is common for purchase formats to vary, which can create confusion and errors in cost control, recipes, and inventory.

🍔 Converting all purchase formats to a base unit makes it possible to compare prices more accurately, define the amount of product used in recipes, and control production costs.

Convert purchase format to base unit (Kg, L, Units):

1. Select the product you want to configure and, in the top-right option, click "configure"

2. Select the "Purchases" option

3. Select the "base unit"

• Unit → Products sold or used in dishes by whole units. Eggs, burgers, soda cans, wine bottles, etc.
• Kg or g → Products consumed by weight or mass. Pasta, fresh tuna, flour, vegetables, etc.
• L or ml → Liquid products consumed in different quantities. Sauces and broths, beer keg, wine by the glass, etc.

4. Enter the equivalence between the purchase format and the base unit (for example: 1 Box = 5 Kg)

5. Click "Save changes"
