How to configure an employee's multi-role coverage πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» ➑️ πŸ‘¨β€βœˆοΈ

⛓️‍πŸ’₯ If you want and can use members of your team in different roles and functions, add versatility and let haddock HR build shift schedules automatically, taking these specific characteristics into account.

πŸ› οΈ Step by step to configure an employee's multi-role coverage πŸ› οΈ

βšͺ Case 1 (the most common and typical one):

πŸ”Ή Go to the profile of a specific employee (example: Carmen Ventura).

πŸ”Ή Open their profile - functions tab and add another function (or job position), for example receptionist (in addition to the one they already have; they must always have a base one).

πŸ”Έ Take advantage of that space to add the β€œpriority”. 1 is the highest and 1000 is the lowest. There is no priority higher than 1.

❗The priority field is only used when we do instant planning. The algorithm will try to assign priority 1; if it is already covered, it will move on to the next one, and so on. That is why it only makes sense for instant planning.

βšͺ Case 2:

Let's consider another possible scenario. Imagine that your employee can rotate between two of your sites and jobs (they're a star πŸ”₯). They can be a manager at site 1 and a receptionist at site A. Or they can perform both roles at both sites. You can tell haddock HR and it will take this into account for planning your schedules if needed.

πŸ–ŠοΈ Indicate the "default" function and the versatility you consider necessary.

βœ… There is no limit to versatility assignments; you can add as many as you want.

‼️ For automatic planning to take versatility into account, activate the restriction when launching the automatic plan (see Toni's note in the Word file of screenshots at the end)
