What is an FTE?

An FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) is a way of measuring the amount of work done by a person or a team, compared with a full workday. 📊

For example:

  • 1 FTE means one person working full time (for example, 40 hours a week).
  • 0.5 FTE would be someone working part time (20 hours a week).
  • 2 FTE can be two full-time people or four people working part time.

It is used to plan, calculate costs, and manage teams, especially when there are part-time workers or people with variable schedules.

This gives companies a clear view of how many "full positions" are covered. 🙌
