Add accumulated vacation from the previous year π΄βπ
Learn how to move unused vacation from last year to the current year using a manual transaction in Rules β Transactions.
1) Go to Rules β Transactions βοΈ
- In the left-hand menu, open Rules.
- Open Transactions.
You will see the history of movements (vacation, worked hours, contract hours, etc.).
2) Create the manual transaction β
- Click the + button (top right).
- In Employee, search for and select the person.
- For multiple employees, click Add and repeat the selection.
3) Fill in the fields βοΈ
- Account: select Vacation to be enjoyed.
- Available from date: set January 1 of the current year (e.g. 01/01).
- Value: enter the days to add (e.g. 2, 3, etc.). You can use decimals if your policy allows it (e.g. 0.5).
- Notes: add context. Recommended example: "Unused accumulated vacation from 2014" (adjust the year as needed).

4) Save and verify πΎβ
- Click Save: the transaction is recorded and the balance of Vacation to be enjoyed is updated instantly.
- Check the employee's vacation balance: it should reflect the vacation they are entitled to for this year + the additional days you added (e.g. +4 or +6).
If you selected multiple employees, one transaction is created per employee.
Tips and notes π‘
- Internal policy: check that your policy allows vacation to be carried over from one year to the next and for how long.
- Traceability: use Notes to clearly state the origin of the days (period/semester).
- Quick review: after saving, go to the employee's vacation summary to confirm the increase.

- Value: 3 (days)

- Result: current year balance + 3 additional days.
