How to activate the out-of-worksite time entry alert

You can configure the system to generate an alert when an employee clocks in outside the worksite, without blocking the time entry.


⚠️ This feature only works from the mobile app downloaded from Google Play or the Apple Store.

It does not work in the browser or in the responsive version because haddock HR needs access to the exact GPS coordinates.



Prerequisite: location configured


Before activating the alert, make sure that:


  1. The location has the following configured:


  • Latitude
  • Longitude
  • Maximum allowed distance (in meters)


(Settings β†’ Employees β†’ Locations)

  1. The location is assigned to the employee in their profile, under the Locations tab.


Without this configuration, the alert cannot be generated correctly.



Activate the alert in the contract


  1. Open the employee’s Contract.
  2. Go to the Alerts section.
  3. Activate the option:


β€œOut-of-location clock-in alert”


Save the changes.




From that moment on, whenever the employee clocks in outside the defined perimeter, the system will generate an alert, but it will not block the time entry.
