Planning shifts across multiple days at once

Learn how to select multiple cells in the planner and apply a shift (either work or absence) in bulk. πŸ—“οΈβœ¨



1) Select individual cells πŸ–±οΈ


  • Click each calendar cell to select it (πŸ”² β†’ β˜‘οΈ).
  • In the top bar you will see the counter of selected cells (πŸ”’).
  • If you click a selected cell again, it will be deselected.



2) Select all the days in a column πŸ“…


  • Click the day of the month (in the column header).
  • All cells in that column will be selected for all employees (⬇️).



3) Select an entire employee row πŸ‘€βž‘οΈ


  • Click on the right side of the employee's name.
  • All cells in that row for that employee will be selected (β¬…οΈβž‘οΈ).



🧩 Tip: You can combine the three selection methods to build exactly the set of cells you need.


4) Schedule one shift for the whole selection 🎯


  1. Find the shift you want to schedule (a work shift πŸ’Ό or an absence 🌴).
  2. Drag the shift and drop it onto any of the selected cells (drag & drop πŸ–±οΈ).
  3. The shift will be automatically scheduled in all selected cells βœ….




Notes ℹ️


  • πŸ”’ Make sure you have edit permission in the plan.
  • ⚠️ If any cell does not support that shift type, haddock HR will let you know.
