Step by step to set up an hourly absence

*Before accessing absences, as the HR lead or manager, you will need to enable / allow each user - employee to create “hourly absences”. To do this, follow these simple steps: *

1. Allow hourly holidays

If you want to, for example, allow holidays by the hour, you must edit the "V" shift and allow hourly holidays.

Important **🎯: this action can only be performed by a user with the **administrator role.

2. Go to the contract or contracts assigned to the employees for whom I want to allow hourly absences (rules - contracts), open their contract, and go to absences.

Enter how much hourly vacation is worth (based on each person's working hours. A part-time employee's day is worth 4 hours; a full-time employee's day is worth 8 hours).

Fill in the parameters such as minimum hours to request: what is allowed as minimum and maximum. You can allow full hours or minutes (whatever each person wants).

**Once these parameters are entered, it is time for your employee to be able to request “hourly absences” in the haddock HR Absences module. **To do so, they will need to do it like this:

  • Click on the menu located in the left column under “Absences”

  • If this is your personal haddock HR dashboard, you will be the selected employee.
  • If you are managing your company's haddock HR account, choose the employee for whom you want to create an absence from the top right.

  • Click the minus-in-a-circle plus symbol to create a new absence.
  • Fill in the details to record the absence and click Save.

**You have now recorded your own absence or your employees' absence. The supervisor will receive the request so it can be approved or denied. **

Fast and easy! In real time so you can be covered.
