What is an availability shift in haddock HR? πŸ•πŸ§©

In haddock HR, availability shifts are the way to tell our algorithm which hours of the day an employee is available to work. πŸ“£πŸ•’

That way, when the system generates automatic shifts, it will know how to respect the time windows each person can offer. More accuracy and more respect for everyone's time! πŸŒŸπŸ’¬

How do you create an availability shift? πŸ› οΈ

πŸ”Ή 1. Create a shift as usual ✍️

Go to the shift creation menu in haddock HR.

πŸ”Ή 2. Select the "Availability" time type πŸ•ΆοΈ

It is very important that in the time type field you choose "Availability" instead of a normal work shift. That way the system will understand it correctly. πŸ“šβœ…

πŸ”Ή 3. Define the start and end times ⏰

Mark the time window in which the employee will be available.

For example:

  • From 9:00 to 13:00 if they are only available in the morning.
  • From 16:00 to 22:00 if they can only work in the afternoon.

πŸ”Ή 24-hour availability? 😱

You can do that too!

If you want an employee to be available all day, simply enter the same time for the start and end. For example:

From 10:00 to 10:00 = available for 24 continuous hours. πŸ”„πŸŒ

Benefits of using availability shifts 🎯
