When are night hours considered?

In Spain, a night shift is considered to be one in which the worker performs at least three hours of their working day between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. In addition, if an employee regularly works during that time, they are considered a night worker. The law establishes special protections for these employees: their working day cannot exceed 8 hours of effective work in a 24-hour period if they perform dangerous tasks or tasks requiring significant physical effort. All to protect their health and well-being in more demanding working conditions. 🌙🕐
