Create order from products
This guide is for restaurants that see the Order tab, the New order button, and the Create order option when opening Ordering.
If your screen starts directly with a supplier list, use Create order by supplier.
Before you start
To create orders from products, you need:
- Permission to place orders.
- Products linked to suppliers.
- Formats enabled for ordering.
If no products appear, upload invoices or delivery notes from those suppliers first so haddock can link products and formats.
Create the order
- Go to Ordering.
- Open the Order tab.
- Click New order.
- Select Create order.
- Search for products by name or filter by supplier or category.
- Add the quantity you want to order for each product or format.
- Check the selected product count at the bottom of the page.
- Click Create order.
If a product has several formats, expand the row and choose the right format before entering the quantity.
Review supplier orders
After you create the order, haddock automatically groups the products by supplier and opens Order review.
From this page, you can:
- Review each supplier order separately.
- Select only the orders you want to finish.
- Change the delivery date.
- Go back to Add products if you need to correct quantities.
- Check the estimated total before sharing.
The total is an estimate based on your purchase history and supplier configuration. Use it as an internal reference; it may not match the supplier's final amount exactly.
Share and finish
When the orders are ready:
- Select the orders you want to send.
- Click Finish.
- Choose how to share each order:
- WhatsApp: copy or open the message to send it by WhatsApp.
- Email: send it directly to the supplier, if the supplier has a purchasing contact with an email address.
- Manage on my own: use this if you already sent or will manage the order outside haddock.
- Mark the order as shared once you have sent it or chosen Manage on my own.
After finishing, the order moves to Order history. From there, you can view it, download it, share it from your device, or start the reception review when the goods arrive.
